Cher, 79, is once again seeking emergency conservatorship over her 49-year-old son Elijah Blue Allman — her child with the late Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band — after back-to-back arrests in New Hampshire landed him in a locked psychiatric hospital.
Court filings paint a devastating picture: “Elijah’s situation has become dire on multiple fronts. His mental health has severely deteriorated, his financial situation is terrible, and his drug dependency is at its worst.” Despite receiving $120,000 a month from a trust his late father set up, the money is “immediately squandered,” according to the filings.
His sister Devon Allman also submitted a declaration supporting the conservatorship, writing that she was once forced to negotiate with a heroin dealer over a five-figure drug debt her brother couldn’t pay.
